| Life just doesn't make any sense sometimes. I worked out in the sun ALL day today and am completely exhausted. Yet, I cannot fall asleep to save my life. I know I'm allergic to something in my room. My allergies are keeping me up as well. "Why Andrew," you say, "why don't you just open a window?" Oh what a great idea, EXCEPT that my room is the only room in the entire house that doesn't have windows that open. And I'm not talking about windows that have been painted shut or anything; literally just window pane, no possible way to open them. Pisses me off, especially in times like these. Plus having a big dinner so late doesn't help with the whole sleeping thing. I feel like I'm in trouble in many areas of my life right now. Ever have that feeling like something is about to creep up on you unexpected? Course if you're getting the feeling, the whole "unexpected" part of the upcoming experience isn't so "unexpecting," but you get the idea. Must sleep but can't!!! And my job with the kiddies starts tomorrow at 7:45am. You think I've even come close to seeing that hour in the day since summer started? HELL NO!!!! And I'm going to have to deal with kids and their mothers!!! I'm sure all will go well if I make an extra cup of coffee in the morning. Ciao for now!

| Well I am back home in Kansas City. Safe and sound. I've already seen some folks and I am really looking forward to summer. Should be fun fun fun!!!!
Springfield was wonderful and I actually cannot wait to go back eventually here.
Aight, that's it. Short update and all. But I got Ultimate to go play here in an hour. Incase I die, I love you all!
Ciao!

| So I was making a Wal-Mart run for notecards and Milk (yeah, I
know. The two most random things to instigate a Wal-Mart run),
and in the same section of the notecards was one of those dry erase
boards. Keep in mind, I've always wanted one to hang in my room
and keep me organized. Well I found THE perfect one. About
2/3 of it is this calander in which you can write the month in at the
top and then the dates and all. So exciting! I can now put
my calander out in front of me rather than in my phone! Then the
other 1/3rd is a section for notes. Also exciting. Then
along the entire bottom is a cork board as well. I am so excited
about my new dry erase board. You have no idea. I just sad
I didn't find it until Finals of this semester. But I have a
feeling I will be using it like crazy in the future.
Please don't judge me based on this entry. It's extremely late
(in my humble opinion) and I just got done with a butt-load of studying
for tomorrow's finals (Diction and then Italian). Need to do some
touch up work in the morning and some more studying after Diction for
Italian. Then I think I'll be good. I need to do well in
the Italian final. I have an 80.5% in there and I have put forth
waaaaaaaaaaaay too much effort in this class to get a "C". Plus I
haven't gotten a C since science in 6th grade and I cried my eyes out
when that happened. Don't know what will happen now . . . . 9
years later.
I really want to go to bed, but my room is hotter than SNOT! I
cannot stand to try to fall asleep when I'm boiling. It's just about
the worse thing I can think of (well, right now).
Well, i'm going to get off of here. Hope everyone's finals went,
are going, or will go well. It's almost over folks!!!!
Ciao ciao!

| Oh my god! It is done. Everything is practically
done. My theory projects, speeches/oral presentations, german
song, the semester, THE YEAR! What a relief!!!! I just felt
this huge weight just lift off my shoulders once I finished the theory
projects. It was wonderful!
Of course, the semester is not quite done yet. I got notebooks
for classes that I have to pile together (Diction and Voice). 2 Finals
on Monday (Diction at noon, Italian at 4pm) then my Italian class is
all going to Graceland 2. This will be interesting. Then
jury on Tuesday @ 2:30. And then (the worse part of all) I have
to stay a whole nother day to take the opera "final" on Wednesday @
4pm. And this "final" will consist of watching the DVD of Die
Fledermaus. Can't I do that on my own time?!!!! I wanna get
out of here!
Ugh, 6 more days in this town. I can make it.
Ciao!

| So who's a lazy bum?
Oh, that'd be me! I skipped my first two classes today (English
and Choir). I think *thinking* this is the first time I've
skipped class in my career at Ole Miss. I've missed class for
trips and such but I let the teacher know before hand, made up my work,
and such. But today . . . it just wasn't happening for many
reasons:
1.) I was up till about 3:30am last night writing a 180 Italian essay
about my "ideal life." I swear we've written stuff like that ALL
year. I'm getting sick of it. But oh well. It's done.
2.) I woke up AT 11:00am, which is exactly when my English class starts
and he hates stragglers. So that made that easy. It was
just kinda like, "ok, we screw that."
3.) The choir I'm in performed the Eric Whitacre concert last night and
I went out on a limb and assumed we wouldn't be having choir because we
never have choir right after a concert.
4.) So for my english class, we're going to be giving these
presentations and basically we're taking one of our previous essays in
class and turning it into a 3-4 minute speech. Ok, he informed us
about this assignment . . . oh. . . .last wednesday ok? And
class, as of Friday, Monday, AND on the syllabus he gave us today, were
just questions and answers about the speech. Now, I can
understand a day of questions and answers, that's totally legit.
BUT 3 FUCKIN' DAYS?!!!!!! I got it, I'm good, let's either do
something productive or just not have class. I'm not going to sit
my ass in a classroom for an hour and listen to idiots ask the same
questions over and over again.
*BLINKER*
So I talked to my voice teacher yesterday during my "lesson" and she
said that Die Fledermaus was the best production she thinks she has
ever seen at Ole Miss. Keep in mind, this woman is in her sixties
(maybe 70s) and she's been at Ole Miss for nearly 40 years. I was
like, "wow, really?!" Now, whether she's lying through her
teeth/she says that after every show, I don't know. But I'll take
the compliment .
I am glad the show's over though. I'm really looking forward to
the day I come back to Fledermaus and I'm just like, "holy crap, this
is EASY! what the hell was I sweating about when I did this the first
time?!!!!" One day, I hope.
Also in other news, while doing my paper last night I was crawling
around youtube and I found an INCREDIBLE dramatic soprano whom I had
never heard of before. Her name is Nina Stemme and she's from
sweden and HOLY SHIT!!! This woman has one hell of a voice on her
and I couldn't stop watching. She almost (ALMOST) made me lose it
during the Rosenkavalier Trio. The links are below:
The Flying Dutchman finale (AKA: Balls to the wall/how many B naturals can Wagner write for a soprano at the end of an opera)
Rosenkavalier Trio: Absolutely stunning. The other singers are kinda "whatever" but she (the red-head) is especially good in the end.
Ciao ciao!
Andrew
